Cole E.C Backenstose joined Members 1st in January 2021 with the goal of spreading financial literacy via the branch where he held various positions over his first few years at Members 1st Federal Credit Union. He transitioned into Members 1st Investment Services & Wealth Management in September 2023 leading the Guided Wealth Portfolios program to help members pursue their savings and retirement goals. Cole takes pride in building strong relationships with his current and future clients in order to best serve them and their financial goals.

Cole earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Shippensburg University while being a student athlete on the baseball team. He holds his FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses through LPL Financial, as well as his Pennsylvania Life and Health Insurance license.

Outside of work, Cole serves as the manager for the Hummelstown Twilight baseball team in the East Shore Twilight League. He has been a player on the team since 2015 and has acted as the manager since 2021. Cole enjoys outdoor activities like fishing, hunting, hiking and golfing.

Cole grew up locally in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania and attended Lower Dauphin High School. He currently resides in Hershey with his fiancé, Alix, and their dog, Misha.
